HuggleCause™ partnered with Project K-9 Hero to honor K-9 Chief with the K-9 Chief Knottie®, a special toy inspired by his incredible courage and sacrifice. Chief was injured in the line of duty while protecting his handler, ultimately losing an eye and retiring from service at just three years old. The K-9 Chief Knottie® was designed with his signature eye patch as a tribute to his story and the sacrifices made by working dogs like him. Through this special toy, we were proud to support Project K-9 Hero and their mission to provide medical care, food, and other essential support for retired Police K-9s and Military Working Dogs.

HuggleCause™ continued our partnership with Warrior Canine Connection (WCC) through a special HuggleFleece® Camo Ball created to support their mission. WCC helps recovering Warriors reconnect with life, their families, and their communities through a therapeutic program that involves training service dogs for fellow Veterans. A portion of proceeds from every HuggleFleece® Camo Ball supported WCC’s work with recovering Warriors, Veterans, and service dogs in training, continuing a partnership that has been an important part of HuggleCause™ through the years.

HuggleCause™ partnered with BADRAP to honor Jonny Justice with the Jonny Justice Knottie®, a special toy inspired by his unmistakable black-and-white markings. After surviving the Bad Newz Kennels dogfighting case, Jonny was given a second chance through BADRAP and went on to become a powerful example of the loving nature and resilience of pit bull-type dogs. He earned both his Canine Good Citizen certification and American Temperament Test title, helping challenge harmful stereotypes and change perceptions of dogs rescued from cruelty cases. Through the Jonny Justice Knottie®, we were proud to celebrate his remarkable legacy while supporting BADRAP’s continued work for pit bull-type dogs and the people who love them.

HuggleCause™ once again partnered with Project K-9 Hero to honor K-9 Mattis with a special toy inspired by his remarkable career in service. A decorated German Shepherd, Mattis served alongside his handler, Mark Tappan, in narcotics detection, tracking, apprehension, and protection, assisting in more than 200 arrests during his career. His service earned him numerous honors, including the Purple Heart, AKC Paw of Courage, and recognition as Officer of the Year. Through this special HuggleCause™ toy, we were proud to celebrate Mattis while supporting Project K-9 Hero’s mission to provide medical care, food, rehabilitation, and other essential support for retired Police K-9s and Military Working Dogs—helping to “Protect Those Who Protected Us.

HuggleCause™ partnered with Project K-9 Hero to honor K-9 Flash with a special K-9 Flash Knottie® inspired by her incredible story of service. Once an abandoned pup, Flash went on to become a decorated narcotics detection K-9, completing more than 3,000 deployments and 2,200 successful finds throughout her career. Her remarkable legacy helped inspire the creation of Project K-9 Hero, an organization dedicated to providing medical care, food, and end-of-service support for retired Police K-9s and Military Working Dogs. Through the K-9 Flash Knottie®, we were proud to celebrate a true four-legged hero while supporting the organization created in her honor.

HuggleCause™ proudly partnered with Warrior Canine Connection (WCC) to create these special-edition pups inspired by the incredible work they do. Featuring WCC’s logo and military-inspired vests, these toys helped celebrate an organization dedicated to supporting recovering Warriors through the healing power of the human-animal bond. WCC’s pioneering Mission-Based Trauma Recovery (MBTR) model helps Warriors reconnect with life, their families, their communities, and each other.

HuggleCause™ partnered with Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC) through our special-edition Pink HuggleFleece® Bones. LBBC is a nationwide nonprofit that provides trusted information and a community of support to people impacted by breast cancer, as well as their families and loved ones. Created in support of their important mission, a portion of proceeds from every Pink Bone purchased was donated to LBBC to help further their work supporting the breast cancer community.

HuggleCause™ partnered with The Sato Project to create a special-edition pup inspired by their lifesaving work in Puerto Rico. The Sato Project is dedicated to rescuing abused and abandoned dogs from the island, providing them with veterinary care, rehabilitation, and the opportunity to find loving homes. Wearing a vest featuring The Sato Project logo, this special HuggleHounds® pup helped support their mission and bring awareness to the thousands of dogs in need across Puerto Rico.

HuggleCause™ partnered with BADRAP to create a special-edition grey pup inspired by the dog featured in their logo. BADRAP is dedicated to supporting pit bull-type dogs and the people who love them, providing resources such as veterinary care, spay/neuter services, and assistance to families during times of crisis. Through education, advocacy, and hands-on community support, BADRAP works to help keep dogs with their families and improve opportunities for pit bull-type dogs in communities across the country.

HuggleCause™ partnered with Project K-9 Hero to create the K-9 Axel Knottie®, inspired by Axel, the organization’s National Ambassador. A portion of proceeds from every K-9 Axel Knottie® sold helped support Project K-9 Hero’s mission to provide medical care, food, and end-of-duty services for our nation’s retired Police K-9s and Military Working Dogs.

HuggleCause™ partnered with Living Free Animal Sanctuary through our limited-edition Seaver the Seagull Knottie®. Living Free provides a safe haven for dogs and cats in need, giving animals a second chance and the opportunity to find loving homes. Located on 155 acres in Southern California, the sanctuary is also home to programs that bring people and animals together, including equine-assisted services for veterans. A portion of proceeds from Seaver helped support Living Free and their commitment to giving animals a brighter future.

HuggleCause™ partnered with Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA), an animal welfare organization dedicated to protecting animals, supporting families, and strengthening the bond between people and their pets. Through rescue and animal care, adoption services, community support, and access to essential pet resources, HRA works to help animals and the people who love them. Our HuggleCause™ partnership helped support their mission of creating communities where animals can thrive.

In recognition of Autism Awareness, HuggleCause™ partnered with NEADS World Class Service Dogs, an organization that trains highly skilled Service Dogs to support children with autism and other developmental disabilities. NEADS Service Dogs are carefully trained and matched with children to provide meaningful support while helping encourage greater independence, social connection, and confidence. Through this HuggleCause™ partnership, we were proud to help support the incredible bond these specially trained dogs create with the children and families they serve.

HuggleCause™ partnered with VCA Charities, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping pets in need gain access to essential care. VCA Charities supports animal welfare organizations and local communities by providing resources such as veterinary care, medication, pet food, and financial assistance. Through our HuggleCause™ partnership, we were proud to support their mission of creating a better world for pets and the people who love them.

In recognition of National Heart Health Month, HuggleCause™ partnered with House With A Heart Senior Pet Sanctuary through two special heart-shaped toys. House With A Heart provides a loving, lifelong home for senior dogs and cats who have lost their families and may have difficulty finding a new home due to their age or medical needs. Through this HuggleCause™ partnership, we were proud to support their mission of giving senior pets the care, comfort, and loving home they deserve.

Our very first HuggleCause™ partner was Warrior Canine Connection (WCC), launching the initiative with two Limited Edition Labrador Retriever toys, one Black Lab and one Yellow Lab. WCC holds a special place in the HuggleCause™ story, and our partnership has continued through the years. The organization uses its Mission-Based Trauma Recovery model to help recovering Warriors reconnect with life, their families, their communities, and each other by involving them in the training of service dogs for fellow Veterans. These special pups marked the beginning of HuggleCause™ and our mission to make playtime mean even more.
